The Department of Procurement Services (DPS) is partnering with the Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC), the Chicago Police Department (CPD), and the Chicago Fire Department (CFD) to host a networking event for potential vendors, called "Doing Business with the City of Chicago". This event will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Public Safety Headquarters, located at 3510 S. Michigan Avenue.
Over 5,000 invitations are being sent to different firms certified in various industries related to technology, computer hardware/software, and public safety. The purpose of this outreach is to educate vendors not only about the services that OEMC, CPD, and CFD offer, but also the potential contracting opportunities available. As a result, vendors will be better informed about what goods and services they may be qualified to provide and pursue contract opportunities as either a direct or indirect contractor or subcontractor.
